Business Analyst Intern/Co-op – R&D Business Development

As a Business Analyst Intern in Nexteer’s SYNTecrity, our Innovations and New Ventures group, you will help enable the development of both novel automotive applications as well as completely new products. You will use your business acumen and analytical thinking to identify market opportunities and evaluate new business initiatives. You will leverage your background in business and technology development to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute to evaluate innovative ideas/projects in business swimlane, including analyzing market size & competition, understanding Nexteer’s value proposition, assisting with the business case development, etc.
  • Facilitate in maintaining and refining innovation processes and help develop innovations and new ventures process strategic plans.
  • Monitor, track and maintain market assessment and business case development on innovative projects.
  • Contribute to assess the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands
  • Apply essential business analysis models and frameworks (SWOT, Porter’s Five, McKinsey 7-S etc.) to run business case study.
  • The intern will have chance to involve in innovative project management and strategic initiatives as needed.


Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Strategic mindset and analytical ability in complex situations.
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to develop impactful presentation materials.
  • Expert-level MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) user.
  • Work experience in product development / engineering or business assessment preferred.
  • Language & experience in Nexteer’s major overseas markets (Europe or China) preferred.

Education:

  • Level: Graduate Students; MBA Students preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent experience
