The Driveline Marketing Analyst role is summarized into three key areas:  Marketing intelligence, subject matter expertise and strategic planning. 

Nexteer’s Driveline Marketing Analyst turns data into meaningful insight that empowers strategic decision-making.  The analyst is also the subject matter expert for Driveline technologies as well as the assigned region of North America – proactively educating, consulting and creating compelling campaigns for internal clients.  Furthermore, the analyst is a planner who strategically approaches revenue growth, optimizes enterprise value and ensures global organizational alignment.


Major Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic marketing and analysis activities for Nexteer’s Driveline technologies  
  • Interface with Driveline Product Team, Nexteer Leadership (General Operating Committee), Sales Team, Global Communications, etc.
  • Proactively analyze global customers/OEMs and opportunities to grow Nexteer’s Driveline business, including tracking and analysis of…
    • Vehicle platforms, regions/markets, manufacturing footprints, market pricing, timing and “Voice of Customer” feedback, etc.
  • Proactively analyze and lead understanding of North America market, as well as a support organizational understanding of global/regional market environments relating to Driveline business
    • Customers, competitors, market share and market pricing
    • Raw materials, technology, OEM T&Cs, economic indicators, trends, etc.
  • Global lead for Driveline market pricing and Who Supplies Whom databases
  • Support Driveline Product Line Team and Global Sales Team in pursuit of growth across all regions
  • Support business development managers in pursuit of new market opportunities
  • Support special projects and assignments as needed within the Marketing, Strategic Planning and Communications Team – such as customer technology events, high profile trade shows, etc.



Degree: Bachelors         Major: Marketing, Business or Engineering


Other Bachelor Degree disciplines will be considered with relavent experience



  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing analysis, or a minimum of 2 years of technical experience within the automotive industry
  • High level of analytical skills where problems are unusual and complex
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills; comfortable with presentations to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain and develop internal business relationships
  • Ability to develop a basic technical understanding of Nexteer’s products and manufacturing processes; familiarity with Nexteer products and manufacturing facilities preferred
  • Ability to effectively work with the global Nexteer team, including sales, product line executives and engineering
  • High interest and self-motivation to research, understand and anticipate trends and key issues within the global automotive industry and specifically the North American market
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from cross-functional groups of executives, managers, peers and customers
  • Ability to be flexible in the work schedule to collaborate with global team members in varied time zones
  • High work ethic, results-driven, self-motivated, positive, business minded and naturally curious/eager to learn
  • Familiarity with IHS Automotive Light Vehicle Production and Powertrain Database a major plus
  • Familiarity with Power BI also a plus
