Job Title

Customer Support Engineer - Munich

 

 

Mission(s) & Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provides customer support at CSC Munich, Germany location
  • Act as the primary Quality Engineering interface to BMW
  • Supports  customer  Advanced Product Quality Planning ( APQP ) process
  • Act as major Nexteer plant contact for first level product analysis
  • Performs steering system evaluation on vehicle level.
  • Coordinates customer plant containment and sorting activities
  • Tracks and communicates product and quality improvements and assures that customer expectations are met.
  • Maintain good relationship to all plant functions ( Quality , Engineering and Logistic)
  • Facilitates and support implementation of product changes and coordinates flawless introduction at customer plant  
  • Supports Product Development (PDT) activities as required 
  • Contributes to Quality metrics and objectives (timely prototype deliveries , customer response time, line rejects and customer complaints
  • Supports cost saving and quality improvement initiatives
  • Communicates in weekly report quality issues and its resolution . Reflects customer perception
  • Alerts organization on upcoming quality issues

 

 

Qualification Required (Education – Experience – Skills)

 

Required skills:

  • Mechanical or electrical Engineering degree
  • 3+ yrs of experience in mechanical Engineering  preferable in the automotive business
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems 
  • Familiarity with automotive development process
  • Experience & expertise in steering product design
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • High Ability to work in a team environment

 

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Quality systems APQP process
  • Familiarity with ISO 16949 standard and VDA
