The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with “real world” work experiences.  Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas, and people so that they become aware of career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive.  Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on experience in a technical environment.  In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find talent to enhance productivity. 


Job Description:

In this position, the Student will assist the Powerpack Product Line in updating and maintaining spreadsheets on global volumes, powerpack technology, creating charts and databases, and help prepare slides for presentations.  Student will be asked to complete other miscellaneous tasks as they arise. 


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervisor with any administrative work
  • Work with the global product line, engineering, and GSM teams to gather data to be used for the powerpack product line, including volumes, technology, and supplier information
  • Create new and/or enhance existing spreadsheets, databases, etc. to compile information to generate reports and charts
  • Misc daily tasks



  • Candidate must be attending Delta, Saginaw Valley, or Northwood
  • Candidate must be studying Bachelors in Business, Marketing, or any related field
  • Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters
    • Up to 40 in the summer
  • Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters
  • Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint
