Application Engineering Technical Specialist (2022)

We are looking for an energetic candidate willing to learn our application engineering tools and processes with a passion to help others to improve the engineering efficiency and effectiveness of our team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.  This position will report directly to the Application Engineering Director

 

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate EPS Change Review Board, create agendas, document minutes, process changes in Teamcenter, support the global CRB team, develop guidelines/training and support creation and management of Supplier Change Requests
  • Create and distribute Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports for ECRs, DCNs, Deviations & 5 Phases
  • Facilitate program team 5 Phase and Change Management meetings
  • Work closely with and support the Global PE Process Champion to make recommendations for process improvements, roll out process changes and create training materials
  • Monitor Change Management process, report areas of concern and support team to ensure timely completion of documentation
  • Support Engineering Leadership with regular team reports
  • Maintain and report out on continuous improvement action plans/status
  • Create and distribute Studied Engineering reports for Engineering Leadership
  • Coach and mentor Product Engineers by providing system and process support
  • Maintain Saleable Part Number Excel tracker to create Engineering Where Used Reports and work with IT to develop an application solution for the global team
  • Lead/support special projects as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor degree,  Associates plus 2 years of relevant experience Or 3+ years of Relevant Experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Siemen’s Teamcenter for Product Lifecycle Management (Preferred)
  • Ability to work in a global, hybrid and multicultural team environment  
  • Ability to work independently where tasks are not clearly defined
  • Communication skills for facilitating global meetings and required support actions
  • Interpersonal skills with proven ability to train and coach engineering and other functional personnel
  • Attention to detail to drive accurate records
