The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas and people so that they become aware of the career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn how to use Siemens Teamcenter PLM and NX CAD Design software to create, revised and release 3 D models and drawings of assemblies and component drawings for steering and driveline systems. 
  • Assist the full-time product CAD Designers by detailing drawings and updating models. 
  • Learn how to run special cad programs to plot drawings, roadmap drawings and release drawings and models in Teamcenter.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must be attending Delta College
  • Candidate must be studing Engineering/CAD/Technical Related Degree
  • Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters
    • Up to 40 in the summer
  • Must have cumulative 2.7 GPA
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits)
  • Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
