The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas and people so that they become aware of the career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity.


Job Responsibilities

  • Student would learn how to run high volume printing machines, scanners, microfilm readers and other equipment used by staff to provide service to customers. 
  • Assist staff with moving Reprographics records to new location
  • Assist with organizing and indexing material in new location
  • Learn how to run microfilm scanner to convert old microfilm cards to electronic files for document retention. 


Skills Required:

  • Must have good computer skills and willingness to learn new how to run copier and scanning equipment. 
  • Strong attention to details and ability to following directions and work standards.  
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively work with others, effective communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and provide outstanding customer service. 


Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must be attending Delta College
  • Candidate must be studying pursuing Business or Technical degree
  • Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters
    • Up to 40 in the summer
  • Must have cumulative 2.7 GPA
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits)
  • Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
