Electrical Product Development Team Engineer (2018)

  • Act as the primary electrical engineering interface to the pursuit customer.
  • Create and/or maintain all applicable controller specifications for controller application projects.
  • Maintain a controller project timeline for assigned applications.
  • Coordinate controller development activities with internal core technology group.
  • Complete all required program documentation including DFMEA’s, Design Reviews, Gate Reviews, Customer Documentation, etc.
  • Create and maintain control module drawing. 
  • Complete all process related documentation including EN, DCP, ECR, cost requests, 5 Phases, Engineering Permits, etc.
  • Coordinate sample supply requirements for engineering samples to the customer and the labs.
  • Track controller validation actives.  Report validation specification issues to the PDT/Customer as required.
  • Support special projects (cost reduction, quality, advanced, etc.).
  • Coordinate and track electrical system level verification and validation actives (Short/Open Testing, FTP status, etc.).  Evaluate results and drive non-conformances to closure.
  • Coordinate controller updates activities; samples, vehicle testing, validation, etc.
  • Coordinate calibration release actives.


    Required Skills:

  • No experience required; Educational focus in design/development of electrical systems in hardware and/or software.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with 8-bit and 16-bit microcontrollers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).



  • Familiarity with CPI process
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Flexray)
  • Familiarity with basic tools that apply to CAN networks.
  • Functional understanding of C+ programming language.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Microsoft .Net, LabVIEW, Visio, database (SQL) experience.
  • Automotive experience.



    Educational Requirements:

    BSEE or BSCE required
