The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity while providing students exposure to full-time career opportunities.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The individual filling this position at any given time may assist with:

  • Engineering Finance / Prototype Center – Corporate (located in Saginaw)
    • Prepare Daily Receipt Report
    • Prepare Monthly Shipment Report
    • Follow-up on Invoice and Supplier Payment Issues
    • Process Purchase Requisitions
    • Process Special Requests/Reports as Needed

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must be pursuing Bachelor of Business in Finance or Accounting
  • Candidate must be attending a 2-year College or 4-year University local to Saginaw
    • Delta, SVSU, U of M-Flint, or Northwood
  • Ability to work 20 - 32 hours per week during the school year
    • Up to 40 hours during the summer
  • Must have cumulative GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must maintain full time credits (12 credit hours) during Fall and Winter semesters
  • Candidate must be able to work in the US without current or future sponsorship
