Manufacturing Engineer

POSITION:  Manufacturing Engineer – Hydraulic Power Steering (HPS) Plant-7

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement continuous improvement and cost savings projects
• Support Operations and Trades with plant equipment issues
• Support product quality issues
• Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects; manage budget as required
• Understand & lead safety/ergonomic requirements
• Communicate with all stakeholders, supervisors, engineers, skilled trades, etc. to meet customer needs
• PFMEA Development and Support
• Support plant quality and safety audits and supporting documentation  

QUALIFICATIONS:

dEGREE: BACHELORS    mAJOR:  Mechanical or electrical eNGINEERING

• 2 years previous experience with ME tools and equipment design and build or equivalent Plant ME experience.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing machine, tool and die design
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
• Working knowledge of metal removal machining or production assembly operations
• High level of analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques (ie: Shainin/Six Sigma)
• Knowledge of GD&T
