The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas and people so that they become aware of the career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity.

 

This position will allow the Student to assist with the development activities of a Global QOS (Quality Operating System) and Quality Training Program, focusing on training materials (presentations, pre/post quizzes), skills matrix, and other related support activities. In this position, the Student will have the opportunity to work with mid and upper-level management and enhance business system, computer and leadership skills. Student would be asked to complete other miscellaneous tasks as they arise. This position is located in Auburn Hills, MI.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the Global QOS (Quality Operating System) and Quality Training Programs, including the front-end computer user interface.
  • Create and maintain eQMS SQL Server DB, Web Forms interface (ASP.NET  VB),  IQS Trubox configuration, BIRT reports, Power BI reports
  • Create new and/or enhance existing training materials
  • Assist in the revamping and maintenance of the Quality Skills/Competency Matrix
  • Assist supervisor in any administrative work

 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be studying Bachelors in Computer Science, Graphic Design, and Business Management
  • Candidate must be proficient in use of MS OFFICE applications.  Ability to develop presentations/training materials in MS PowerPoint and use of features such as animation are highly desired. Graphic arts experience is a plus.
  • Candidate should be organized and detail oriented.
  • Candidate must be able to work up to 40 hours during the summer (May to September)
  • Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits)
  • Candidate must have the right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
