General Job Description:
The IT DevOps Project Manager will be responsible for development, implementation and continuous improvement of the process and platform that will drive the transformation toward an agile Continuous Delivery model for Nexteer IT.  

 

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of the DevOps lifecycle process and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with IT delivery teams and Business Relationship Managers to promote and train the agile DevOps processes
  • Participate in the deployment of the ServiceNow IT service management tool and processes
  • Integrate the DevOps Continuous Delivery model with ServiceNow processes
  • Coach developers and infrastructure specialists in the use of the agile DevOps platform and processes
  • Design data objects / architecture with special focus on MS SQL technology and Azure services
  • Assist technical and business teams to evaluate new technological components
  • Communicate process updates to business teams and leadership

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree 
  • 3+ years of relevant experience required 
  • Experience in gathering and documenting system requirements
  • Working knowledge of Agile / DevOps processes
  • Working knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure services
  • Software development experience such as: C#/.NET & ASP.NET Core, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS
  • Knowledge of SQL and database programming
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a geographically dispersed team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
