The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas and people so that they become aware of the career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity. 

 

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a rotating position. The individual filling this position at any given time may assist with:

  • Engineering Finance – Corporate (located in Saginaw)
  • Plant Finance Operations - Saginaw
  • Financial Planning and Analysis - Saginaw
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable – Saginaw
  • Business Line Financial Analysis – Saginaw
  • Fixed Assets - Saginaw

QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Requirements:

  • Pursuing Bachelor of Business, Accounting or Finance 
  • Full time student Delta, SVSU, U of M -Flint - or Northwood
  • Enrolled in ACE Co-Op Program (if enrolled at Delta College)
  • Ability to work 20 - 32 hours per week during the school year
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during when school not in session
  • Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must maintain full time credits (12 credit hours) during the Fall and Winter semesters
