Manufacturing Engineer - REPS (2019)

Major Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop common Manufacturing assembly systems for global implementation
  • Develop, specify, validate and install new assembly equipment and tools
  • Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects; manage budget as required
  • Complete all TcM Runoff Book requirements for MQ1and MQ2 approvals   
  • Work with Product Engineering to develop designs for various customers
  • Support all CPI Launch design review milestone activities
  • Implement process improvement using ICIM DFSS problem solving tools
  • Estimate lead time and cost of capital equipment
  • Communicate with all stakeholders; PDT members, supervisors, engineers, skilled trades, etc. to meet customer needs 




Degree: Bachelors          Major: Engineering


  • Will consider Associates, Engineering Technology, or Tool and Die Degree with relevant experience





  • 2 or more years of previous experience with assembly equipment design and build or equivalent Plant experience preferred.  
  • Working knowledge of machine Servo press and Torque fastening systems
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
  • Working knowledge of Product drawings
  • Previous experience with tool & equipment build or equivalent project management experience preferred
  • Familiar with PLC & motion control programming preferred
  • Knowledge of Quality Network and Shanin/Six Sigma preferred
  • Knowledge of TS-16949 and ISO-14001 preferred
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques (i.e.: Shaina/Six Sigma/Fast X). preferred
  • Knowledge of GD&T, Statistic software and Auto Cad, preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing industrial product, tool or design engineering, and AUTO CAD preferred
