This position will allow the student to assist with computer-based business analysis activities used to measure key supplier development processes.  Position could include on-line training coordination, database design, and helping to launch new technologies.  Student would assist with the monitoring of several other key logistical and supply chain management elements to insure perfect launch of various platforms. In this position, the student will have the opportunity to work with upper-level management and enhance their leadership skills. Student would be asked to complete other tasks to support the Global Supply Management team and support supplier enhancement objectives.  

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervisor in any administrative duties.
  • Create new and/or enhance existing computer applications, programs, spreadsheets, databases, etc. to compile information and generate reports of department metrics.
  • Support embedded software development activities.
  • Gather data from Nexteer Global suppliers to support software applications.
  • Develop and coordinate Global training.
  • Support Supplier development activities.
  • Participate in Supply Chain analysis and problem solving.

 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be attending a 4-year University local to Saginaw Michigan.
  • Candidate must be able to work onsite, in Saginaw, MI
  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s in business, or related degree
  • Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters.
    • Up to 40 in the summer
  • Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale.
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters.
  • Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship.
