Controller Application Engineer

Resoinsibilities:
• Support program specific Product Development Teams
• Provide technical support to Nexteer manufacturing plants
• Provide technical support to Nexteer suppliers
• Support DV/PV testing including root cause analysis of test failures
• Support component PPAP
• Assist in maintaining cost controls
• Assist in Electrical Power Steering (EPS) software build plans, controller software and calibration update activities to support customer samples and vehicle testing, validation and production.
• Assists in EPS trouble shooting activities using: CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe, oscillo-scope and custom made software tools like Etool, EcalNet.
• Assists in updates to System Electrical Requirements (SER) per Customer design changes and anomalies.
• Assists in creation of DFMEAs, Design Reviews, and validation plans.
• Supports electrical validation testing.
• Assists with customer communication of anomalies, software change
• Provide preventive and corrective actions
• Participate in maintenance of IATF 16949 standards
• Perform activities relative to Company & Group needs.
• Employee’s awareness of their impact on product quality and the importance of their activities in achieving, maintaining, and improving quality, including customer requirements and the risks involved for the customer with non-conforming product.
Qualifications:
• Min Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering or similar faculty
• Min. 2 years of experience at the similar position
• Excellent problem-solving techniques and analytical ability
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of circuit card assembly manufacturing processes
• Experience with the design and manufacture of connector assemblies
• Experience in the design and manufacture of harness assemblies
• Basic understanding of electrical circuit design
• Familiarity with automotive product development processes
• Good English
• Knowledge of IATF 16949
• MS Office skills
• CSR knowledge in job area
• SEP G1-E to 1kV
• Understanding of IPC standards including IPC A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-2221 and IPC-2222
