Key responsibilities and authorities:

Employee’s awareness of their impact on product quality and the importance of their activities in achieving, maintaining, and improving quality, including customer requirements and the risks involved for the customer with non-conforming product.

PURSUIT PHASE

Lead the technical pursuit execution in alignment with Nexteer’s global strategy, in close collaboration with the Product Line, Program manager, Sales, GSM, ME, etc, as per the Customer RFQ timing.
Build program timing in accordance with customer needs and Nexteer’s program execution guidelines.
Lead the technical specification analysis and deliver compliance matrix, by piloting the other functions of the pursuit team.
Lead the definition of the best technical product proposal that meets the customer requirements, by piloting the other functions of the pursuit team.
Lead ECR and BOM activities to obtain the cost of the quoted product, by piloting the other functions of the pursuit team.
Assist the Sales department in the writing of the commercial offer.

APPLICATION PHASE:

Lead the technical program execution in adherence with CPI program management process and tools.
Lead the integration PDT, establish cadence of reviews, rank and prioritize open issues
Escalate program risks to the Program Manager, functional leaders and Nexteer Leadership Team, build recovery plans to ensure risk mitigation (Stop&Fix).
Manage and coordinate program Design Reviews, assigning preparation and deliverable to different functional areas.
Lead Customer Technical program communication through preparation and attendance to Customer Project Reviews.
Manage customer change implementation process.

Qualifications required:

I Education:

Engineering Degree in appropriate field, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering

Awareness of automotive industry standard IATF (P)
Demonstrated technical knowledge of vehicle steering systems (P)
Knowledge of Nexteer product lines and bill-of-design (P)
Knowledge of Nexteer product lines and bill-of-processes (P)
Familiarity and practice of Product Engineering tools and processes: PLM, DSS, DFMEA, CN, GD&T and CAD standards (R)
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others (R)
Ability to lead cross-functional team members towards a common goal (R)
Ability to work in a team environment and be facilitator/leader for Teamwork (R)
