The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity while providing students exposure to full-time career opportunities.

 

Job Requisition Introductory Paragraph:

 

This position will allow the Student to assist with the development, testing, implementation and improvement activities of a custom Global Business System Software developed internally at Nexteer.  This is to support phase 2 of this initiative focused on building off of the framework from Phase 1 to use the tool to improve awareness of changes and flow down of changes to the rest of the organization.  In this position, the Student will have the opportunity to work with mid and upper-level management to support the development and testing activities.  In addition to the Global Business Software, the position will include supporting activities relating to reporting activities for the new software using Power BI and other tools. Student would be asked to complete other miscellaneous tasks as they arise. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the development, testing, implementation and improvement activities of a customer Global Business System Software solution.
  • Create training materials to support with the administration and use of the new software system.
  • Assist supervisor in any administrative work

 

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be attending a 4-year university
  • Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor’s in Computer Science, Graphic Design or Business Management
  • Candidate must be proficient in use of MS OFFICE applications.  Ability to develop presentations/training materials in MS PowerPoint and use of features such as animation are highly desired. Graphic arts experience is a plus.
  • Candidate should be organized and detail oriented.
  • Candidate must be able to work 40 hours per week
  • Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits for following Fall semester)
  • Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
