About the Role:

The Business Operations and Transformation Manager will serve as a strategic partner to Nexteer’s VP of Engineering, enabling the effective execution of strategic priorities and driving operational excellence across the Engineering organization. This role demands a blend of strategic foresight, senior-level influence, cross-functional coordination, and transformational leadership. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive background in project management, reporting, and program development to enhance strategic capabilities and drive impactful initiatives.

This critical role will act as a force multiplier, enhancing the VP of Engineering’s effectiveness by managing priorities, streamlining communications, overseeing special projects, and ensuring strategic initiatives are executed flawlessly. Key Responsibilities

As a Business Operations and Transformation Manager, you will be responsible to:

  • Strategic Advisory & Execution: 
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor and thought partner to the VP of Engineering, facilitating decision-making and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and drive their execution, particularly for initiatives related to Agile Transformation and Organizational Development. 
  • Prepare briefings, presentations, and reports for executive leadership, board members, and external stakeholders on strategic initiatives and performance. 
  • Operational Excellence & Program Management: 
  • Oversee and manage critical cross-functional projects and initiatives from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation. 
  • Streamline internal operations, communication flows, and decision-making processes to enhance overall organizational efficiency. 
  • Leverage expertise in program management to ensure successful rollout and integration of new policies, technologies, and strategic programs, drawing on experience from large-scale spin-offs and new program launches. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: 
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among executive leaders, department heads, and external partners 
  • Represent the VP of Engineering in key meetings, both internal and external, demonstrating deep understanding of company strategy and values. 
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: 
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic initiatives, including those related to operational efficiency. 
  • Lead or support the preparation of comprehensive reports and other required disclosures, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate standards. 
  • Identify potential risks (e.g., budgetary, environmental, operational) within the operation and proactively develop mitigation strategies.  

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic roles, with a significant portion dedicated to program management, supply chain, quality, or similar fields. 
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing complex programs (e.g., organizational spin-offs). 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams (Finance, HR, Legal, Operations) external partners (suppliers, customers, associations) and international Tech Centers. 
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present clear recommendations. 
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of AI for enhanced productivity and execution. 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. 
  • A strategic thinker with a strong operational mindset, capable of balancing big-picture vision with hands-on execution. 
  • Experience in a global organization or within the automotive or technology industries is highly desirable. 

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field
  • Masters Degree preferred
