Key Responsibilities
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible to:
- Lead end-to-end project execution for humanoid robot actuator development including customer engagement, design, prototyping, testing, integration support, and production implementation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary global teams of electrical, software, and mechanical engineers including AI specialists and Tier N suppliers and other vendors/contractors for on-time delivery of all project milestones.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocation using common project management tools and Gantt charts
- Oversee testing and validation in both simulated and real-world environments including any applicable safety protocols for bipedal motion and human-robot interaction.
- Drive any applicable cross-project/product collaboration or synergies, post project evaluations and iterative improvements to accelerate humanoid robot actuator commercialization.
- Incorporate product line objectives into the project management deliverables including product strategy and product roadmap fulfillment
- Serve as both a project manager and technical expert in humanoid robot OEM customer meetings during customer acquisition, design, and development phases
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in robotics, automation, or advanced manufacturing, with direct involvement in humanoid or mobile robot projects.
- Proven track record managing complex hardware-software integrated projects (e.g. end-effector development, actuation systems, or AI-driven locomotion).
- Experience with software tools including CAD and familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g. ISO for robotics safety).
- High comfort level and flexibility in fast-paced business environments. Strong communication and leadership skills in high-stakes environments, and the ability to thrive with rapid iteration.
- Prior work at humanoid robotics companies with hands-on experience in prototyping and field deployment preferred
- Knowledge of AI/ML integration for robot perception/motion, or manufacturing processes like DFM (Design for Manufacturing) preferred
- Knowledge of actuator development, design options and tradeoffs, and general knowledge of humanoid robot actuator market landscape preferred
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
