About the role
The Senior Tax Analyst – Tax Accounting is responsible for leading the Company's global tax accounting and financial reporting processes, including the quarterly and annual income tax provision, tax forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting. This position partners with global finance teams, external auditors, and third-party advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting, drive process improvements, and maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible to:
- Lead the Company's quarterly and annual global income tax provision process, including preparation of the FIN 18 calculation, tax journal entries, supporting workpapers, and financial statement tax disclosures.
- Manage the global tax forecasting, annual budget, and long-range planning (LRFP) processes, including effective tax rate analysis and executive reporting.
- Review quarterly tax reporting packages, return-to-provision adjustments, and supporting workpapers submitted by international subsidiaries to ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Prepare and maintain key tax accounting analyses, including deferred tax rollforwards, effective tax rate reconciliations, uncertain tax positions (UTPs), valuation allowance analyses, and other technical tax accounting workpapers.
- Coordinate with international finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of tax information and implementation of required tax adjustments.
- Partner with external auditors by preparing supporting documentation, responding to audit inquiries, and maintaining technical tax accounting memoranda.
- Identify and implement process improvements, standardization initiatives, and automation opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the global tax
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- 4+ years of public accounting experience required, with significant experience in income tax accounting.
- Experience with ASC 740 (or IAS 12) income tax accounting for multinational organizations.
- Experience with OneSource Tax Provision and advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of income tax accounting and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership and ownership of complex tax accounting processes.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Dedicated professional with a high level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, ambition to continuously develop, and a passion for tax accounting and process improvement.
Education Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
