Mission & Key Responsibility

 

Lead the technical product engineering for development, pursuit or application project for EPS or Steer by wire steering systems.

 

PURSUIT PHASE

  • Lead the technical pursuit execution in alignment with Nexteer’s global strategy, in close collaboration with the Product Line, Program manager, Sales, GSM, ME, etc, as per the Customer RFQ timing and pre RFQ phase.
  • Build program timing in accordance with customer needs and Nexteer’s program execution guidelines.
  • Lead the technical specification analysis and deliver compliance matrix, by piloting the other functions of the pursuit team.
  • Lead the definition of the best technical product proposal that meets the customer requirements, by piloting the other functions of the pursuit team.
  • Lead ECR and BOM activities to obtain the cost of the quoted product, by piloting the other functions of the pursuit team.
  • Assist the Sales department in the writing of the commercial offer.

APPLICATION PHASE:

  • Lead the technical program execution in adherence with CPI program management process and tools.
  • Lead the integration PDT, establish cadence of reviews, rank and prioritize open issues
  • Escalate program risks to the Program Manager, functional leaders and Nexteer Leadership Team, build recovery plans to ensure risk mitigation (Stop&Fix).
  • Manage and coordinate program Design Reviews, assigning preparation and deliverable to different functional areas.
  • Lead Customer Technical program communication through preparation and attendance to Customer Project Reviews.
  • Manage customer change implementation process.
  • Lead Design reviews

GENERAL:

  • Create customer team overview with its key responsibilities
  • Create Technology Road Map of OEM and Market segment
  • Support advanced and architecture developments

QUALIFICATION:

  • Degree in Engineering (R)
  • Fluent in English (R)
  • Fluent in Customer language (P)
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, ability to work in a multi-functional, multi-site team environment and be facilitator/leader for Teamwork (R)
  • Good written and verbal communication (R)
  • Time management (R)
  • Resilience, ability to withstand internal and external pressure and fulfill assignments under stress (R)
  • Ability to seek and analyze Customer feedback to understand and communicate Customer needs (R)
  • Ability to defend enterprise business interests in front of Customer while not deteriorating Customer relationships (R)

 

  • Knowledge and practice of program management for automotive industry, OEM, Tier 1 or 2 (P)
  • Knowledge and practice of developing automotive electronic systems to production (P)
  • Experience with automotive change management standard (ex: Nexteer CPI) (R)
  • Experience in systems engineering, soft- and hardware development process (R)
  • Experience in requirement management of customer and internal specification (P)
  • Technical understanding of vehicle steering systems (P)
  • Technical understanding of system automotive validation process (P)
  • Technical understanding of safety critical systems and it’s development process (V-model) (P)
