Description of Core Electrical Hardware Integration Engineer:

We are looking for a motivated electrical engineer to consolidate core electrical circuit designs into specific applications for safety critical automotive products.  This position will be responsible for the integrated design work products including schematics, electrical bill of material, worst case circuit analysis/simulations, circuit DFMEA, and content documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized and is willing to accept electrical design responsibility for a development project.




  • Provide electrical hardware support for development/pursuit applications.
  • Create and maintain schematics and electrical bill of material based on core designs and unique customer requirements.
  • Verify functionality and robustness of electrical design through worst case circuit analysis and simulation.
  • Create and manage circuit simulation test plans and document results.
  • Manage changes and work with other groups to coordinate implementation activities including, development builds, controller verification, and customer vehicle demos.
  • Review PCB layout based on electrical core guidelines and rule checks.
  • Lead in electrical schematic design reviews.
  • Support the creation and release of new component specifications.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor – Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits and components for automotive use
  • Proficient in both analytical skills and hands-on work
  • Experience working with customers and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller design for embedded application and with power electronics (power supplies, inverters)
  • Stay in touch with the latest component technologies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills


Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience with schematic design and simulation tool use.
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics, Orcad, Pspice, Valydate, Expedition AMS or Multisim
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
  • Familiarity with Electromagnetic Compatibility issues associated with board layout and circuit design.
  • Experience with thermal constraints of circuit design and fundamentals of heat transfer
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing technologies (at the board and component level)
  • Experience with product failure risk management tools (e.g, DFMEA).
  • Experience with motor control applications
  • Demonstrate ability to systematically solve problems – quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
