About the role

Nexteer is looking for an innovative, self-starting individual who is interested in the fast-paced environment of a tier one automotive supplier.  This position requires an individual who can work closely with engineering and financial professionals to ensure that spending objectives are executed.  The ideal candidate will have prior finance experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong technical accounting experience. 

This position is located in Saginaw, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities

As an engineering finance analyst, you will be responsible to:

  • Assist in the development of global engineering forecasts and performance reporting
  • Assist in engineering spending analysis and other measurement analysis
  • Provide transactional analytics in support of the engineering results
  • Support global engineering forecast submission
  • Provide business support to engineering leadership through data analysis and reporting activities
  • Assist with engineering accounting activities, which may include journal entries, processing purchase requisitions, and/or account reconciliations

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Finance or Accounting experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Strong financial acumen, with understanding of income statement / balance sheet and cash flow interrelationships
  • Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP principles
  • Highly computer literate with emphasis in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in QAD, HFM, and Hyperion Planning preferred

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA or MBA preferred
