SWaaP Systems Engineer (2021)

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provides technical leadership for projects incorporating complex electromechanical (“Mechatronic”) systems relative to Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) functions.
  • Serves as technical liaison to customers, where appropriate
  • Work w Algorithm, Simulation, (Human Machine Interface) HMI, and Software engineers as applicable
  • Designs and optimizes simultaneous system performance goals through requirements flow down
  • Effectively integrates all aspects of a design through the use of multi-disciplinary engineering
  • Tunes vehicle (steering) characteristics, diagnoses and corrects deficiencies in bench prototypes
  • Understands and writes system and subsystem specifications
  • Assists in system testing and verification activities
  • Stay abreast with new ADAS and Cloud technologies

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree: Bachelor or Masters (preferred)

Major: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

 

  • 2+ years in Power Steering (EPS preferred) Systems Engineer
  • Experience in Vehicle Communication Networks (CAN, etc) is required
  • Experience in problem solving techniques is required
  • Experience with Steering Feel is required
  • Good communications, organization and documentation abilities are required
  • Experience in Cloud Communication and Data Transfers is highly preferred
  • General competency in all core fields (mechanical, electronics, computer hardware and software) is preferred
  • Background in automotive engineering and chassis systems (steering, braking, suspension) is preferred
  • Knowledge of system synthesis, analysis and verification techniques is preferred
  • Knowledge of ADAS sensors and functions is preferred
  • Knowledge of Systems Safety and HMI is highly desirable
  • Experience w Rapid Prototyping tools such as MicroAutobox is preferred
