Statistical Engineer (2022)

  • Lead deployment of the formal I&CIM training program throughout Nexteer to achieve cost savings and certification targets
  • Coach candidates in the use of statistical toolsets aimed at both reactive and proactive problem solving
  • Deliver formal training as required
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in advanced statistical topics for the company
  • Develop advanced training material on a variety of problem-solving topics
  • Interface with external training consultants as required
  • Crisis problem solving as required
  • Support international operations as required including travel
  • Assist in maintaining cost controls
  • Stay abreast of new technology and problem solving toolsets


DEGREE: Bachelors  (Masters preferred)           MAJOR: Engineering or Statistics

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of engineering theory, principles of design and manufacturing processes
  • I&CIM certification to minimum of Principal level preferred 
  • Excellent organization and documentation abilities
  • Demonstrated problem solving competency
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with people
  • Strong computer skills
  • Working knowledge of statistical tools like Minitab
  • Knowledge of project management processes and tools is preferred

  • Sitting: The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time
